The Garlic Press

This window display is of The Garlic Press in uptown Normal. The display with the kitchen bowls, apron, utensils, etc. is very bold in its color schemes and immediately draws the eye over. Customers' attention is naturally caught by the fun, bright display and will walk over to further investigate. The window sells a story and a lifestyle; perhaps of a young, outgoing professional in a chic new apartment looking to entertain friends and family. Once the customer is drawn over by the bright colors, the other windows are most likely noticed as a secondary thought. While they are still put together nicely, the first is the most eye catching to me. The window display with the glassware could have been extremely boring, but the bright curtains added the extra flair needed for the customer to picture the merchandise in their own home. I also found the window with the aprons to be a bit boring. Compared to the other two it seems almost like an afterthought, but it does display the product quite nicely. Overall I enjoyed the displays.
